As we head into flu and cold season, now is the time to help young children remember how to stop the spread of germs. Sing the song together acting out each verse several times throughout each day. Model the behaviors for your child and help them with hand over hand assistance, if needed, to put their arm across their face when coughing, wiping, or throwing away in between each line while singing. Then when the opportunity arises, ie. the child coughs, needs to wipe their nose or throw a tissue in the trash, sing the song as you assist them, if needed, to perform the desired behavior. Don't forget the praise when they do it right! And have fun.
